Arianna Huffington
Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington has been an Greek American columnist, author and entrepreneur for more than twenty years. She is the author of fifteen books and is the cofounder of The Huffington Post. Arianna Huffington is a writer and television host, as well as philanthropist as well as the founder and publisher of The Huffington Post. Born in Greece and relocated to England when she was 16. When she attended Cambridge University, she graduated with an MA in Economics. The first non-English student to graduate, she was elected president of The Cambridge Union' at the age of 21. Her success as a conservative journalist was further consolidated when she finished her degree. After the launch of The Huffington Post a few year later, she established an online voice-portal that provided critical opinions on the political situation. Her popularity helped her to convince several famous people to share their opinions regarding current affairs, the culture and politics. Arianna gained fame in 2003 after she decided to contest independently in the California recall election in order to succeed the Governor Davis. Aside from that, Arianna also spearheaded the Detroit campaign to encourage fuel-efficient vehicles. She was named The Most Influential Women in Media according to Forbes in 2009, and was awarded the 12th place in that list. In the same year Guardian listed her among the 100 most influential media on their list. AOL bought The Huffington Post from AOL in the year 2011. In 2012, she became the head of AOL's media group. The group included several AOL-owned properties, such as Engadget AOL Style List and Patch Media. Their parents are Elli and Konstantinos Stasinopoulos. They were who was a consultant in management as well as a journalist. Her life was shaped by her closeness to her mother and her bond with her dad, despite being extremely close to her father. Through her early period, she displayed abilities to lead, and for this are still prominently known. When she moved to England, she was 16 to continue her education and was enrolled into Girton College Cambridge. In the time of her studies, she belonged to Cambridge Union. Cambridge Union debating group where she rose to become the first female president and sole foreign president. In 1972, she graduated with a Master's Degree in Economics. Her career as TV host and journalist was born after graduation.
